Cookies Policy

Last updated on 02/05/2026

This website and its associated applications use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the proper functioning of the service and to analyze user navigation. In accordance with the GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), and the AEPD Cookie Guide (2023), we inform you about their use and your rights.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow us to remember information about your visit, such as your preferences or whether you are logged in. In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as browser localStorage and sessionStorage.

Types of Cookies We Use

1. Strictly Necessary Cookies

Legal basis: essential service operation (GDPR Article 6.1.b). No consent required.

These cookies are essential for the functioning of the website. Without them, basic features such as authentication or navigation cannot operate correctly.

authjs.session-token — authentication session — 30 days; authjs.csrf-token — CSRF protection — session; authjs.callback-url — redirect after login — session; COOKIE_CONSENT — your cookie preferences — 365 days (accept) / 7 days (reject); i18next — language preference — 365 days

We also use Google reCAPTCHA v3, which may set cookies to protect our forms against automated abuse. These cookies are essential for security purposes.

2. Analytics Cookies (optional)

Legal basis: user consent (GDPR Article 6.1.a). Only activated if you accept cookies in the consent banner.

We collect anonymous data about how users interact with our site to improve the experience. These cookies are only installed if you give your express consent.

_ga — Google Analytics 4, identifies unique users — 2 years; _ga_<ID> — Google Analytics 4, maintains session state — 2 years

For technical error monitoring, we use Sentry. Sentry does not set cookies in your browser; it uses only local storage (localStorage/sessionStorage) and memory for anonymized session replays.

We use Google Consent Mode v2 (mandatory in the EEA since March 2024). Before you accept cookies, Google Analytics does not collect data or set cookies. The consent categories managed are: analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization.

Cross-Device Synchronization

Bukios is available on web (bukios.com), mobile apps (iOS and Android), and a browser extension. Your user account allows synchronizing bookmarks and settings across these devices. The cookies described in this policy apply exclusively to the web environment. Mobile apps and the browser extension use their own local storage mechanisms.

How Can You Manage Cookies?

When you first access Bukios, a consent banner is displayed with options to accept or reject optional cookies. This banner is accessible at any time from the footer.

Additionally, you can configure your browser to block or delete installed cookies. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the service from functioning correctly.

You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal.

Right to Complain

If you believe that Bukios' use of cookies does not comply with applicable regulations, you have the right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es) or with the data protection authority of your country of residence.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance by email and by posting a prominent notice on the Service.
